At The Great Workplaces Company, we believe in creating purposeful organisations that inspire and drive growth. Founded by a seasoned professional with years of experience in London’s fast-paced business environment, we bring a fresh perspective to organisations.

Creating Great Organisational Cultures

Our mission

Our mission is to help businesses grow purposefully by sharing our knowledge and expertise in creating great workplace cultures. Let us help you create a great workplace culture that drives success and inspires your employees to reach their full potential.

Our focus is on creating great organisational cultures that help employees find more meaning and become better engaged in their work. When you create a great people experience, you create a great customer experience, with benefits that ripple out to suppliers, the community, the country, and the planet. From practical programmes and tools, to workshops, training, coaching, and mentoring, we deliver our services with care and compassion.

Let us help you create the kind of workplace our children would be proud to work in and that your customers will love.

Our story

The Great Workplaces Company has been in the making for a few years now. It came to fruition when Pam moved back to Scotland having worked in London for most of her career. Apart from using the return home to enter a new phase in her life it was a chance to look at what difference she could make to organisations. Essentially how to bottle her experiences and share these with businesses to help them grow purposefully.

Consulting

Drawing on years of management consulting expertise, we create practical programmes with measurable outcomes. Working with leaders, employees and sometimes other stakeholders like customers, we work collaboratively to an agreed brief, budget and timescale. Programmes and projects can be standalone or integrated as part of other work.

Training

We develop, run and help embed purposeful learning opportunities (online and face to face) in organisations. These can be interactive workshops, learning bites, group learning or large scale workshops. For in person sessions we can use tools like Slido or Mentimeter to garner opinion or collaborative tools like Mural to create an inclusive working environment for those in or outside the room.

Coaching

The opportunity to work one-to-one with individuals, managers or leaders helps create a place to pause, reflect, explore and grow. Our coaching approach also draws on many years in senior leadership roles to work alongside clients in a compassionate way looking at the whole person to strike a balance between work and homelife. Normally over eight sessions we work together towards your goals with care and attention to what’s important to each individual.

Mentoring

Rather like having your ‘guru’ guiding you through business change, our approach draws on consulting, training and coaching expertise. It’s a process of exploration which may involve us sharing our successes and less than successful experiences to help our clients accelerate and avoid the pitfalls.

Brand journey

Pam approached Georgina Hart after meeting her at a networking event and loved her approach to brand creation started with purpose, and like Pam she had moved to Scotland from London. Through various discussions about work, life, the Universe, and everything in between Pam and Georgina seemed to spark off each other. Georgina started with the brand essence (growing great workplaces), the brand purpose (to create great workplaces), the mission (to create the kind of places my children would be proud to work), our promise (to share Pam’s experience, expertise and excitement for great workplaces for current and future generations that have purpose-minded cultures.)

The brand

The logo was inspired by the elegance of haute couture, the imagery and prose drawn from Pam’s Purpose Prompts™ cards for purposeful conversations, and the Scottish land and city-scapes. Each element of The Great Workplaces Company’s brand has been curated to inspire, reflect integrity, be purposeful and most of all give the feeling of being mindful of where you are and where you are going.

The colours not only Pam’s favourites, but are drawn from nature, the earth, from the stones and rocks that ground us to the plants and flowers that if nurtured can grow in a variety of conditions.

Associates

We have a team of associates who can bring a mix of relevant and innovative expertise to The Great Workplaces Company.
